About

Portrait of Elin Marrow

First the voice. Then the artist.

Elin Marrow makes melodic electronic pop with cinematic space and fractured dance rhythms. Strong melodies and a clear, controlled voice sit at the centre, surrounded by wide-open production, irregular dance rhythms and the occasional industrial edge.

Intimate and personal when the story calls for it. Cinematic and atmospheric when the music is allowed to grow.

She first stepped forward as the vocalist and visual front of The MØVEMENT, giving a face and a human point of view to the melodic electronic productions of Jonas Rahl and her brother Markus Marrow. Over time, her own songs needed a space of their own: more personal, less bound by tempo or structure, and told entirely from her perspective.

Her solo project grew alongside the band, with its own catalogue and visual world. The first releases, Call Me in the Quiet, After the Signal and The Tide Between Us (Slow Heal), showed that her identity didn't depend on a single tempo or mood.

Her songs circle around memory, bad timing, half-truths, longing and self-protection. Her debut album, Memory Will Get It Wrong, explores how we turn the past into a story we can live with.

Elin Marrow is an AI persona, developed by creator and producer Slate7 under Hidden Layer Records. Her music and visuals are made with AI tools, but every song, image and video begins with a concept and a story, and is shaped through many rounds of creative work, from the first idea to the final edit.
